Details of Freestyle Festival and Danish Open Championship

 

The Blokart freestyle Festival and Danish Open championship will be on Sonderstrand ( Blokart Heaven) on the 1st & 2nd of July 2006, organized by the Danish blokart association, in conjunction with The Danish Blokart Performance Team,  the Romo Tourist Office and WindToysDK.com.

Never heard of a blokart? come and see what crazy things we can do, like sailing on two wheels, stopping on two wheels, spinning, 180 and 360's and plenty of others. New tricks to be seen for the first time in the world. The Danish Blokart Performance Team will be present to show you their routines and on hand to chat and generally show off.

Blokarts have been described as having only three wheels, no brakes and Gods hand on the accelerator. Can easily and safely be sailed by a 6 yr old and the only upper age limit is set by you. As the blokart uses hand steering it comes very naturally and we will have you sailing yourself in 5 minutes. 

We have a two seater for training and family trips and the deuce, - you will have to come along to find out what this is!

Blokarters

Plenty of fun stuff going on, also plenty of prizes on offer, one for best senior freestyler of the day, best junior, quickest around the obstacle course and best improver of the day. This beach is the biggest in Europe and plenty of room to sail and have allot of fun with other blokarters. We will also have a around Banana Island tour, only place in the world you can sail around an island in a land yacht, or should I say three wheeled go-kart with a sail! Also you will see for the first time in the world some blokart beach furniture, we are just so far ahead. There will be a buffet meal on Saturday night with plenty of time to chat and discuss the days activities, yeah OK lets cut the crap, plenty of chance to drink beer.  Plenty of accommodation available and discounts available for participants. A two day event: Saturday 1 st & sunday 2nd July  We are very weather dependant and so the time table and things we do will depend on the weather, but always we will have a laugh and a blast.

Below is the program for the Annual Blokart Freestyle Festival and Danish Open Championship organized by the Dansk Blokart Forening in conjunction with the Danish blokart performance team, Rømø tourist office and Windtoysdk.com.

This event will be on the fantastic beach of Sønderstrand on the island of Rømø on the 1st and 2nd of July.

Racing and freestyle competition is production class only, so all PODS, carbon races bases etc are not allowed. Please send details of weight and which competitions you wish to take part in.

Entry fee is 100kr.

There will be a Frolfe competition if we have no wind.

Blokart freestyle festivalen vil finde sted paa Sonderstrand(Blokart paradiset) den 1 & 2. juli. Den er organiseret af den Danske blokart forening, i samarbejde med The Danish Blokart Performance Team og Romo Turistbureau.
Aldrig hoert om en blokart? Kom og se hvad skoere ting vi kan lave med den, som feks. sejle paa to hjul, stoppe paa to hjul, snurre rundt med 180 og 360 grader og meget mere. Nye tricks kan ses for foerste gang i verden. Faa jer en snak med The Danish Blokart Performance Team, som vil give opvisning  og generelt vise sig!
Blokarts er blevet beskrevet som kun at have 3 hjul, ingen bremser og guds haand paa speederen! Blokarten kan nemt og sikkert sejles af en 6 aarig og du saetter selv den oeverste aldersgraense. Da alle blokarts styres som en cykel kommer det helt naturligt og du vil kunne sejle selv efter 5 minutter. Vi har en 2 personers til undervisning og familieture, og deuceren...den maa du hellere selv komme og finde ud af hvad er!
 

En endags event. Loerdag den 1. juli og evt. soendag indtil kl.14.00 som ekstra dag.... hvis der ikke skulle vaere nogen vind eller vaad strand osv. Vi er meget afhaengig af vejret og derfor vil programtidspunkterne og de ting der er paa programmet blive aendret afhaengigt af vejret. Men vi skal nok faa det sjovt og  faa noget spaendende ud af det alligevel
